Terms and conditions
The details behind your purchase.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Techimprovement website and online store and your purchase of our products and services. The website and store are operated by Tech Improvement Inc., based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19125, United States ("we", "us" or "our").
By browsing the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you act on behalf of a company, you accept these Terms for it and confirm that you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
The following documents also form part of your agreement with us:
- our License Agreement, which governs how you may use our Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce extensions;
- our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information; and
- our Data Processing Consent.
Eligibility and Accounts
Our products are intended for businesses and professionals. To buy from us, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
- You must give accurate and complete information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You can create an account with an email address and password, or sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Amazon, PayPal or Pinterest. If you use social login, the provider's terms also apply to your use of that account.
- You are responsible for keeping your password, license keys and Composer access keys secure, and for all activity under your account. If you suspect unauthorized use, tell us promptly at info@techimprovement.net.
Our Products and Services
- Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce extensions: sold as a one-time license per production store, with free updates. They are delivered as downloadable ZIP files and through our private Composer repository, and their use is governed by our License Agreement.
- Shopify apps: installed through Shopify and billed as monthly or yearly subscriptions through Shopify's billing system.
- Support subscriptions: monthly or yearly plans, such as our Magento Growth package, in which our engineers look after Magento, Adobe Commerce Cloud, Shopify or WordPress stores.
Each product page describes the product's features, compatibility and, for support plans, what the package includes. If you are unsure whether a product suits your store, please contact us before you buy.
Orders and Pricing
- Prices are shown on the website in the currency displayed at checkout. Sales tax or VAT is added where the law requires it and is shown before you pay.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we confirm your order by email or deliver the product, whichever happens first.
- We may decline or cancel an order, for example if a price was shown in error, the product is no longer available or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, we will refund the full amount.
- We may change our prices at any time. Price changes do not affect orders we have already confirmed. For subscriptions, see "Subscriptions and Renewals".
- Discount codes and promotions apply only under their stated conditions and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Payment
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are handled by Stripe, and we do not store full card numbers. By giving us a payment method, you confirm that you are authorized to use it, and you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge it for your order and, for subscriptions, for each renewal. Stripe's own terms and privacy policy apply to its processing.
Charges for our Shopify apps are billed by Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. We do not process those payments ourselves.
Subscriptions and Renewals
- Support subscriptions are paid in advance for each monthly or yearly period.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, and the payment method on file is charged for the next period, until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: the service continues until then, and you will not be charged again.
- If we change the price of a subscription, we will tell you by email before the new price applies to your next renewal, so you have time to cancel if you do not wish to continue.
- If a renewal payment fails, we may try the charge again and may pause the service until payment is received.
- Shopify app subscriptions are managed in Shopify. You can stop future charges by cancelling the plan or uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin, in line with Shopify's billing rules.
Delivery of Digital Products
Our products are delivered digitally; nothing is shipped. Once your payment is confirmed, your license key and downloads become available in your account, and you can generate Composer access keys for our private repository. Support subscriptions begin once the first payment is confirmed, after which we will contact you to arrange access and agree on priorities.
Refunds and Cancellations
Our software and services are delivered digitally. For that reason, payments are generally non-refundable once a license key or download has been provided or service work has been carried out, except:
- where a refund is required by applicable law; or
- where Tech Improvement Inc. confirms a material defect that it cannot fix within a reasonable time.
To request a refund, email info@techimprovement.net with your order number and the reason for the request. We will review it and reply by email.
You can cancel any subscription for future periods at any time, as described above. Cancelling stops future charges but does not refund the current period unless the law requires otherwise.
If you are a consumer in a country that gives you a legal right to withdraw from online purchases, you agree that delivery of digital content or services may begin as soon as your order is confirmed, and you acknowledge that, where the law allows, you lose that right of withdrawal once delivery has begun.
Support Services
The scope of each support subscription is set out on its product page or in a written proposal that we agree with you. The work is carried out by our engineers and may require access to your store's admin panel, code repository, hosting or cloud environment and related third-party accounts.
As a support customer, you agree to:
- give us the access we reasonably need, ideally through separate accounts or keys that you can revoke at any time;
- keep current backups of your store, database and code, and tell us about busy periods when changes should be avoided;
- review and approve changes when we ask you to, preferably on a staging environment first; and
- make sure you have the right to give us access to the systems and data involved, including any personal information about your customers.
We will perform the work with reasonable care and skill, use your access only for the services you request, and treat your credentials, code and data as confidential. We handle personal information about your customers on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for problems caused by your hosting provider, third-party extensions, platform updates or changes made by other people.
Intellectual Property
The website, its content, our software and our brand belong to Tech Improvement Inc. or its licensors, and may be used only as these Terms or the License Agreement allow.
Custom code written specifically for your store under a support subscription becomes yours once the related fees have been paid in full. We keep ownership of our extensions, tools, libraries and know-how that existed before the work or were developed independently of it. Where any of these are included in your store, you receive a license to use them with that store.
Acceptable Use
When using our website and products, you must not:
- use them for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- try to gain unauthorized access to the website, other customers' accounts or our systems, or scan or test them for vulnerabilities without our written permission;
- disrupt the website, for example by introducing malicious code or overloading it with requests;
- collect content or data from the website by automated means, other than ordinary search engine indexing;
- share or publish license keys, Composer access keys or downloaded files; or
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your connection with a business.
If you find a security issue on our website or in our products, please report it privately to info@techimprovement.net.
Third-Party Platforms and Services
Our products work with platforms and services that we do not control, including Magento Open Source, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, WordPress, hosting providers, Stripe and social sign-in providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and their changes can affect how our products work. We will make reasonable efforts to adapt, but cannot promise continued compatibility.
Magento and Adobe Commerce are trademarks of Adobe Inc., Shopify is a trademark of Shopify Inc., and WordPress is a trademark of the WordPress Foundation. We use these names only to describe compatibility.
Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in these Terms or the License Agreement, the website, products and services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that our products or services will achieve any particular business result, such as higher sales.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Improvement Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the website, products or services. Our total liability for any claim relating to these Terms or to our products and services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the product or service concerned in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tech Improvement Inc. and its personnel against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, that arise from your breach of these Terms or the License Agreement, your misuse of our products, or content and data you provide to us, except to the extent they are caused by our own negligence or breach.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or close your account, revoke license keys or Composer access keys, or stop providing a service if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or use our products in a way that puts us, our systems or other customers at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put things right.
You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Closing your account cancels any active subscriptions from the end of the current period. Licenses you have paid for remain valid under the License Agreement, but you need an active account to download Updates and use the Composer repository.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at info@techimprovement.net and give us 30 days to try to resolve the matter informally. If it cannot be resolved, the dispute will be heard exclusively by the courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the documents referred to above and any order confirmation or written proposal, form the entire agreement between you and us on their subject.
- Severability: if a court finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver: if we do not enforce a right immediately, we can still enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent, except as the License Agreement allows. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganization, merger or sale of our business.
- Events beyond our control: we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as outages of third-party platforms or natural disasters.
- Notices: we may send notices to the email address on your account, and you can send notices to us at info@techimprovement.net.
Text Messages
If you choose to receive sign-in verification codes by text message, our SMS Terms also apply. Text messages are optional and are not a condition of any purchase. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP or by emailing info@techimprovement.net. Message and data rates may apply.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our products, the law or our business. We will post the new version on this page with an updated date. Changes do not affect orders placed before they were posted, but they will apply to subscription renewals after we have notified you. If you continue to use the website after an update, you accept the updated Terms.
